In 2011 DI also helped support the economies of and expand capabilities in local communities where it has operations. For example, the company hired more than 1,000 Afghan citizens and hundreds of Iraqi civilians to support programs within each country, respectively.

“These have been challenging times in the U.S. and in economies around the world,” said Bob Lehman, senior vice president of Human Resources at DynCorp International. “DI was very fortunate in 2011 to be able to offer positions to a record number of personnel last year. We hope to continue that growth in 2012.”

The new personnel are supporting a wide range of programs that fall under the company’s eight business areas: Aviation, Air Operations, Contingency Operations, International Development, Intelligence Training and Solutions, Operations and Maintenance, Security Services, and Training and Mentoring.
